SATURDAY 1ST

$5000 cash prize pool for all cycling events, plus medals for overall winners

Whether you're a seasoned racer or new to the world of road cycling, test your legs and lungs on a 20km individual time trial circuit at the Sydney International Regatta Centre's closed lake circuit. 


Not just for seasoned racers - time trialling is an ideal introduction to competitive cycling -  just you, your bike, and the stopwatch.

PRESENTATION & PRIZES

  • Entries: Open to AusCycling members only. Entries close 28th March 2023 for grading. 

  • Start/Finish: The start and finish line for the Kermesse will be located on the Northern straight of the competition lake, at approximately the second timing hut. Refer to course maps for start/finish location. 

  • Registration and Marshalling: Registration and marshalling will be between the Eastern Flat and Kermesse start line, on the northern straight of the lake.

  • Sign On: Sign on 9:00am, closes 9:40am

  • Grades: 4 bunches

  • Race briefing: A race briefing will take place on the start line 5 mins prior to start time.

  • Course Information: The course will be ridden in a clockwise direction on a closed-circuit road, one way. Please obey all directional signage. N.B. Subject to road closures, a criterium will be conducted in place of the Kermesse. Please refer to information below. 

  • Parking: Parking is available on the southern side of the competition lake, entrance from Old Castlereagh Rd. Please note the Regatta Centre event site is closed to vehicles except for emergency services. 

  • Amenities: Ample food, refreshments and toilets are available on site at the Regatta Centre.

  • Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall

  • N.B. Due to flood damage on the south-eastern corner of the Regatta Centre lake circuit, a criterium will be conducted in place of the Kermesse subject to track closures at the time of the event. Participants will be notified
